NFF: Why it can never be marketable

*WITH ONIGBINDE, AMODU WILL SOME DAY EXPOSE THEM TOO

*LAGERBACK OVER PRICING REVEALED!

Reading that the Nigerian Feeding of Football (NFF) {you may also call them, Nigeria Football Federation but the National Sports Commission (NSC) like the parliament said, it is the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) they recognise} is seeking for marketing of its products, I laughed myself hoarse. How do you market an agency known for plagiarism and intellectual property stealing! Thieves.

I am so happy that Chief Adegboyega Onigbinde has at last told us the “secrets” we know, which he knows and has now revealed. Shaibu Amodu will someday also tell us the so many secrets of his ouster by the same cabal that brought Lagerback. We also now know that the Swede is overpriced! Uhm! House of thieving and stealing, the Glass House, they call it.

MARKETING:

The goons listed 18 categories of sponsors! The NFF is making such a bogus offer to the corporate world in its quest for self-sustenance. Nice idea. Would any serious sponsor or corporate organisation want to put in their money and buy in return bad media? Did we see the events as faced by Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Globacom etc. what mileage did they get back for their money? They got serious bad media.

This is an NFF that is bereft of ideas. There are so many organisations, I am also speaking from experience, that have taken ideas of funding to them. The next thing you’ll hear is that the ideas you took to them are already cloned and being badly implemented.

We took the idea of raising N2.5billion for the second round world cup qualifiers to them. They called us for a meeting. They demanded for our Business and Strategic Plan. This we gave them in confidence. The next thing is for the document to be butchered and a portion sold cheaply to Afribank Plc while they made the Rotimi Amaechi PTF implement another portion.

Is this the quality of the NFF or NFA that corporate organisations should or can trust with their money? Is this the quality of the people that brilliant Nigerians with fantastic ideas of how to make money from football will take serious? It is no gainsaying the fact that Kwara Football Academy in Ilorin if managed as a strictly private business will make more money that the entirety of the NFF! I swear by this fact. We can go experimenting if possible!!

ONIGBINDE EXPOSE: according to the Modakeke High Chief Onigbinde in an interview he granted Complete Football “My given tasks were to ensure Nigeria was not disgraced at the World Cup, to ensure there was discipline in the team and lastly, to lay the foundation for a future team. And to make my job more difficult, was the direct order from the authorities instructing me not to include certain players in the team since such players were blacklisted following the crisis in Mali.”

We also know the kind of instructions that were given Shaibu Amodu along the line and how like Chief Onigbinde he ‘cooperated’ and worked against the odds and delivered the tasks. We also hope that someday too, Amodu will come forth and tell the nation the whole truth and nothing but the truth that will show that some people had been, are still and will be reaping from the confusion they bring to bear each time we qualify for the world cup!

OVERPRICED LAGERBACK:

Super Eagles coach, Lars Lagerback as Nigeria’s manager to the 2010 FIFA World Cup is getting more than what he got as Sweden’s coach! Complete Sports reported that the Swede earned an income of about 2.4 million Swedish Krona in 2008 which is equal to $325,000. The previous year, his annual income was $1.6 million Swedish Krona, or $225,000. Interestingly, he will earn much more than all that working for just five months in Nigeria. In Nigeria, he is to earn $245,000 in five months!

The crooks in the NFF spent N17 million for the interview of coaches and added to that they have agreed to pay the coach N50 million a month which amounts to N250 million in five months whereas Amodu that they demoted was collecting N2 million a month.

Unconfirmed sources say that the Swede is actually going home with about $175,000. The question is, where will the rest be going since we were reliable informed with the fact that he is not paying taxes. Does it make sense that some people are probably making some money? See why Governor Bukola Saraki, the PTF was brought into the allegations and denials involving Glenn Hoddle. I am not surprised that John Shittu, the FIFA player’s agent who represented Hoddle was calling for EFCC investigation!
